Lake Nakuru
The Lake Nakuru is one of the lakes of the Vallée of the great rift. It is an alkaline lake which accommodates approximately 1 million pink flamingos.
It is in the south of Nakuru, the center of the Kenya, and is protected by a national park. The national lake nakuru park was created in 1967 and covers a surface of 188 km ². It is at an altitude of 1758 meters. More than 400 species of birds live there, one also finds there black rhinoceroses (which were reintroduced after having disappeared), of the Lion S, Léopard S and of many herbivores like the Girafe of Rothschild, the Gazelle S and the Hippopotame S.
