Lagan is a river of the south of the Sweden.
Geography
Lagan takes its source in the hills in the south-east of Taberg in the Comté of Jönköping, moves towards the south while crossing the towns of Vaggeryd, Värnamo and Ljungby. Shortly after Strömsnäsbruk, the river obliques towards the west and after having crossed the town of Laholm, it joined the Cattégat in bay of Laholm, with 20 kilometers in the south of Halmstad, in the county of Halland.
History
Since the time of the Viking S, people settled along the river. Trade route called Lagastigen , skirted the river and forms now part of the European Route E4.
