Label of origin Ribera del Duero
Located in the zone of the High Valley of the Douro (Spain), this name of controlled origin (AOC) is consisted many communes of the provinces of Burgos, Valladolid, Soria and Segovia with a long tradition as producers of Vin S in the shore of Douro.
The ground is free and with rather high lime contents. The climate is continental. The resulting wine is of a great quality.
The label of origin was approved in 1982. Since, its prestige did not cease being confirmed in Spain and abroad. This label of origin is checked by means of the Regulating Council, located at Roa.

Province of Burgos : Aranda de Duero, Roa, Pedrosa de Duero, Sotillo of Ribera, Horra, Anguix, Gumiel de Izán, Gumiel de Mercado, Milagros, Guzmán, Olmedillo de Roa, Villatuelda, Terradillos de Esgueva and Tórtoles de Esgueva (Comarque Ribera del Duero of the province of Burgos).
