Kumo No mukō, yakusoku No basho

Kumo No mukō, yakusoku No basho (雲のむこう、 約束の場所, Beyond the clouds, the promised place ) is a Cartoon film Japan board 91 minute old left the November 20th 2004, carried out by Makoto Shinkai on an idea clean, helped of Ushio Tazawa for the Character design and produced by CoMix Wave Inc..

The credits of end, Kimi No Koe (Your voice) are composed by Tenmon.

The film profits from a worked animation and uses an esthetics mainly based on the light, using plans diluted by the sun, in back-lights, of the very coloured twilights, the light carving or devouring each scene.

Sailing between dream and reality, the history is sometimes a little confused but each part ends up finding its place.

It gained the Prix of the film Mainichi 2004, category Animation Large Award.

Synopsis

In a parallel universe, two young boys try to build a plane. Japan is cut into two, the Hokkaidō being with the hands of the Union . The latter built an enigmatic tower, gigantic, which attracts very as far as it frightens.

In 1996, Hiroki, Takuya and their Sayuri friend, liked by the first, rejettée by the second, promise themselves to fly over this tower on an aircraft that the two young men manufacture during their holidays since years. The destiny separates them, but the tower the dregs forever.

Characters

  • Hiroki: Young timid boy, it is obviously, and more and more, in love with Sayuri. To allure it, he promises to him to take it along on the aircraft that he builds with Takuya.
  • Takuya: Friend of hiroki, it is a very intelligent boy and whom the girls like enormously, whom it pushes back all, Sayuri included/understood.
  • Sayuri: Young girl, playing of the violin, it is pushed back by Takuya but quickly develops a relation not acknowledged with Hiroki. During its exile, it does not cease thinks of him.
  • Okabe: Owner of a company under contract with the army, it helps the children to build their plane. He directs a terrorist origanisation having for goal the reunification of Japan by all the means, including the war.
