Kochersberg

Located at the doors of the Urban community of Strasbourg, the Kochersberg and the Ackerland are areas with the very fertile grounds (Lœss), localized between the valleys of the Zorn, in north, and of the Bruche in the south, the field of faults of Saverne in the west, and the east, the edge of the Rhenish terrace. The principal village of Kochersberg is Truchtersheim.

Ackerland

The “French Ackerland” “grounds of ploughing” draws its name from the landscape which it offers. Cultivated grounds (Cereal S, Hop,…) rich person and fertile dominate the plains, the meadows occupying only the funds of small valleys dedicating the rare stiffer slopes with the orchards and sometimes with the vine.

Castle of Kochersberg

The part of the plain of Alsace called Kochersberg, owes its name with the castle built at the 13th century and destroyed 400 years ago on the mount (“Berg” or “Bari”) Kochersberg.

Located on the territory of the commune of Neugartheim-Ittlenheim, this hill is easily recognizable thanks to the optical telegraph of Chappe which decorates its top.

House of Kochersberg

The House of Kochersberg, in Truchtersheim, realization of the the Community of communes of Kochersberg, registered in its objectives to count in order to preserve them, the richnesses of the local inheritance. It presents since 1982 of the exposures to topic and publishes the review " twice a year; Kocherschbari".
