Kingdom of Agder
The Royaume of Agder is a Norwegian kingdom of the Middle Ages located in the current fylker of Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder, in the South of the country.
The significance of the name Agder itself is not known. It is known only that it comes from the old man norrois Agðir . The inhabitants of this kingdom were called Egðir . It would seem that these Egðir are the Augandzi mentioned by Jordanes in its Getica .
