Kinescope

A kinescope is a special camera intended to film the image which appears on a Téléviseur.
The produced copy, called a Kinescope, was then easy to reproduce. The advantage of this apparatus was more obvious in the time when the antenna S were not enough powerful to transmit to long distances. The copies were dispatched towards small towns to be diffused.
Apparatus used to record on a film film (generally 16mm) a video program. Before the invention of the video tape recorder, the kinescope was it only average of conservation of the television programs on line. It for the first time is used for French television in 1954. It will be exploited in France until 1974.
