Killarney

Killarney (in Irish Lash Airne ) is a city of the Comté of Kerry located at the western south of the Ireland, which counts approximately 12.000 inhabitants.

The city is located at the hollow of a valley bordering the Macgillycuddy' S Reeks at the edge of the Lacs of Killarney. It constitutes the main entrance of the Killarney National Park which covers a good part of the center and mountains of the County of Kerry. A cathedral is situèe near the road which carries out towards Killorglin.

Thanks to the proximity of the national park, like with the presence of sites and important monuments like Muckross House, Muckross Abbey and Ross Castle, as well as the Boxing ring off Kerry, Killarney is one of the high places of tourism in Ireland. Tourism is the economic main activity of the area. After Dublin, Killarney is the city which has the greatest capacity of reception of the country.
