Khemis Zemamra
Zemamra is a city of the Morocco, located on the trunk road RN1 which connects the towns of El Jadida and Agadir, at 75 km at the South East of El Jadida.
It extends on a surface from approximately 530 ha in the center from the zone from irrigation from the Doukkala, at a low altitude (161 to 167 NGM)
The city constitutes an urban center for the neighbouring communes of Laghnadra, Ouled, Sbaita, Sania, Berreguig, Gharbia, Oualidia…
Presentation
Of a population of 12000 inhabitants, the municipality of Zemamra (the June 30th 1992 creates) has the principal administrative services: Pachalik, Court (in the course of construction), Protection civilian, Perception, Post office, Royal Gendarmerie, a college, two colleges, three elementary schools, two cribs, three mosques, a library, an arts center in the course of construction and two houses of benevolence.
One finds there also a market of large of vegetables, two slaughter-houses (Ovin S and Bovin S), five service stations, seven baths Moors, seven baker's ovens, two banking agencies, fourteen pharmacies, four mills with grain etc
The city is located on a trunk road or the means of transport are very developed: 200 Taxis, 20 coaches, 100 trucks of goods transport, 100 record players etc
The municipality has a network of cleansing of 25.000 ml and average material sufficient for the collection and the evacuation of the household refuse. However it remains to arrange a station of treatment of waste water.
The service of the drinking water (rate of connection of 80%) is managed by the Autonomous Control of Water supply and Electricity of El Jadida. As for electricity (rate of connection of 90%), it is managed by the National office of Electricity except for the public lighting which is dealt with by the Municipality.
