Khanty

The khanty (or ostiak ) is a Langue pertaining to the family of the Finno-ugric Langues. He is spoken in Russia by approximately 10 000 speakers, on bank is lower course of the Ob and on the banks of its affluents, in the autonomous region of Khanty-Mansi (capital Khanty-Mansijsk). One also finds of Khantys more in north, in the district of Jamal Nenets.
