Kevin Huizenga
Kevin Huizenga (born in 1977 close to Chicago) is an American author of cartoons .
Biography
Kevin Huizenga takes an active part in the American movement of the autoreporting through an abundant publication of mini-comics. The Canadian editor Drawn & Quarterly republishes in the shape of small albums ( Or Else ) the various short stories that the author had previously published in the form of fanzines photocopied. The editor also joined together several accounts putting in scene Glenn Ganges, his recurring character, in an album baptized Curses .The Comics Newspaper named it Minimalist Cartoonist year 2001. It was also nominated for two Ignatz Awards in the categories “the young talent most promising” and “the most remarkable minis-comic”. In 2003, Kevin Huizenga contributes for a new nomination but this time in the category “better history short” ( Green Tea ). Kevin Huizenga lives and works today in Saint-Louis.
