Kenworth
Kenworth is a mark of trucks based with Kirkland, in the suburbs of Seattle, Washington, the United States. It is a Filiale group Paccar (Pacific Because and Foundry). Kenworth has factory with Renton, State of Washington, Chillicothe in the Ohio, Holy-Therese with the Quebec, Victoria in Australia and Mexicali with the Mexico. In 1916, Louis and his brother Edgar Gerlinger founded their company, in Seattle, Washington. One year later, a first Camion was produced, named: Gersix, with a Driving with Gasoline of 6 cylinders.
In 1923 by Edgar Worthington and Harry Kent, two majority shareholders, take the control of the company and rename it Kenworth . the success of the new company rises partly from the closing of two firm competitors of Seattle, HRL Motor CO. and Vulcan Motor. The 3 first letters of the name Ken T and the 5 premères of Worth ington were used to compose the name of the mark.
In 1924, the first Kenworth models were with Capot from 1,5 to 4 tons of payload, with petrol engines of 4 cylinders Buda. Also 80 truck are sold this year there.
In 1925,5 models were available, heaviest being one 5 tons. Production of trucks: two per weeks.
In 1927, a new engine of 6 cylinders of 78 Horses.

In 1967, PACCAR acquired the factory of Holy-Therese, to manufacture the Kenworth marks and Peterbilt for the North America, of the trucks carrying and the tractors with cabin of day.
In 1969, the sales goes up to 6240 trucks.
In 1971, the series PD of urban trucks with advanced cabin appeared on the market. And later this series was famous: Hustler. And another large truck: 6x4 Rough, intended for the construction trade. Also 6600 trucks was built.
In 1972, the sales of trucks reach 10000.
In 1974, new factory was opened with Chillicothe, Ohio, and Bayswater, Australia, where were developed carrying trucks 4 Essieux.
