Ken Annakin
Ken Annakin (August 10th 1914 with Beverley, Yorkshire -) is a British Réalisateur . Carrying out the documentary ones initially, it entered in Rank studios in 1947. Annakin was known for a series of films of adventure produces by Walt Disney of which Robin of Wood (1952), the pink and the sword (1953) and Robinsons of the South Seas (1960).
It joins later the producer Darryl F. Zanuck, when this one dealt with the British part of the film the longest Day . To the head of the studios 20th Century Fox, Zanuck grants its confidence to Annakin for one of its more ambitious project, These marvellous insane wheels in their funny of machines left in 1965. It also carried out the film the battle of the Ardennes with Henry Fonda in 1965.
Followed other full-length films like the red Turbans (1966), Gonflés with block (1969), the Call of the forest (1972) or the Adventures of Fifi Brin of Steel (1988). Then, in 2005, it carries out Genghis Khan .
In 2002, Annakin is named officer of the Ordre of the British Empire by the queen Elisabeth II.
