Kawoosh

The kawoosh is the outgoing “wave” of the Porte of the stars during its activation. This " vague" is an side effect of the opening of a " vortex" or " Hole of worm " (in English, wormhole) between two doors. In the original version, one does not speak about vortex, exclusively about wormhole. What explains the title of " wormhole extreme" given to the imaginary serial of episodes 100 and 200.

The " term; hole of ver" can be included/understood by the image of a book. When a worm makes a hole in a sheet, it allows, by the way thus opened, of going from one page to the other without passing on all the lines. In stargate, the heroes can thus go instantaneously from a point of the universe to another. In the same way, it makes it possible to go from one time to another or a dimensional universe to another.

The kawoosh is the result of the disturbance of the space time " normal" at the time of the opening of the door. It disintegrates all that it reaches. is not thus necessary to go in the kawoosh, with the risk to be disintegrated. Teal' C and Mitchel make use of it to destroy a psychic transmitter whereas Vala and Daniel Jackson is about to die.

The kawoosh also makes it possible to destroy a vessel ori when that passes with-side of a superporte. The kawoosh of a superporte being so immense, the vessel was almost completely destroyed.
