Katarina Frostenson

Katarina Frostenson , born the March 5th 1953 with Stockholm, is a Swedish writer E . In 1992, it is elected member of the Swedish Académie. In 2003, Frostensen is named with the rank of Chevalier of the Legion of Honor in recognition of its contributions to the Littérature.

The auteure is one of the most known Poètesse S Swedish contemporary. Its style combines at the same time experimental research and hard and antiquated expression. One owes him in particular the poems I mellan (1978), I det gula (1985) and Joner (1991). She also wrote a lyric collection of prose: Berättelser från dom (1992). Katarina Frostenson is the niece of Anders Frostenson.

Katarina Frostenson is also translator. She in particular translated into Swedish the part of Marguerite Duras Abahn, Sabana, David ” ( Hunderna I Prag ) written in 1970, of which the first representation took place with the Judiska Teatern of Stockholm the October 13rd 2007.
