Karl Böhm is a Austrian Leader , born the August 28th 1894 with Graz and dead the August 14th 1981 with Salzburg.
Biography
It is famous as specialist in the opera (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Richard Wagner, Richard Strauss, Alban Berg) and in the Symphonie (Mozart, Anton Bruckner), though one can not appreciate his beaten metronomic and sometimes impersonal (Christa Ludwig said of him: “With him, one always perceived the value of the notes”).
He was in addition a convinced member and ever repented the Parti national-Socialist. He leaves a great quantity of recordings, published mainly at Deutsche Grammophon with the head of the European full orchestras of which the Philharmonic orchestra of Vienna. He is the father of the actor Karlheinz Böhm, interprets film “the Peeping Tom” of Michael Powell.
