Kanada
Kanada (or Kanad , Sanskrit कणाद ) was wise a Hindou which founded the philosophical school Vaisheshika. He is regarded as the father of the atomic Théorie. He probably lived towards 600 av. JC, and one thinks that he was born in Prabhas Kshetra (close to Dwaraka) in the Gujarat, India.
Its field of study was the Rasavātam, a kind of Alchimie. In its text, the Vaishashik Darshana , it describes an atomic theory more than one century before that developed by Démocrite d' Abdère in ancient Greece. He thought that all the objects were made of 9 elements: ground, water, the light, wind, ether, time, space, the spirit and the heart.
