The line Moscow - Kazan was completed in December 1894 - except for the railway bridge Imperatorski Romanovski on the the Volga. This line was exploited by a private company, the Railroad company Moscow Kazan, which had succeeded in 1891 the Railroad company Moscow Riazan. In 1925, Chikhrany accepted the statute of city and was famous Kanach. Its population rose then with 2  323 inhabitants.
