Kamaz

KamAZ , or КамАЗ in Russian (abbreviation of Камскийавтомобильныйзавод , Kamskij avtomobilnyj zavod , factory of cars of the Kama), is a company Russian founded in 1969 and specialized in the manufacture of trucks. It is one of the rare automobile companies to have durably survived the fall of the Soviet Union, and this in an advantageous way. The catalog counts about thirty models today, as well of civil use as professional or military. It produces 65.000 vehicles annually.

In addition to its Russian factories of Nabérejnyé Tchelny, with the Tatarstan, and of Neftekamsk, in Bachkirie, KamAZ has production lines in Poland, with the Kazakhstan, in Azerbaïdjan, Ukraine, Ethiopia, in Iran (in partnership with Rakhsh Khodro) and with the Vietnam.

Kamaz takes part the proof Rally-raid in the category truck, the Rallye Dakar in the highest degree. KamAZ particularly shone besides on the roads of Dakar by gaining general classification truck in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
