The KR (Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur) is an athletic club Icelandic based with Reykjavík. Initially founded like club of Football, it developed in a club multi-sportsman. Among these disciplines, one finds: the badminton, the fight, swimming, the handball, the ski, the table tennis, the basketball, etc the principal body remains nevertheless football.
History
- 1899 : foundation of the club under the name of FR Reykjavík
- 1915: the club is famous KR Reykjavík
- 1918: absorption of FR Vesturbæjar Reykjavík and Hédinn Reykjavík
- 1964: 1st participation in a Cut of Europe (C1) (season 1964/65)
