  • June 1st:

    • the Allies complete their withdrawal of Crete.
    • Pogrom against the Jewish of Baghdad, 200 died and 2000 wounded
  • June 2nd:

    • Establishment in France of a “special Statute for the Jews”.
  • June 7th:

    • On the instigation of the De Gaulle General, entered in British Syria of troops S and the Free French Army. Very violent one engagements during several weeks against the Vichyist troops.
  • June 14th:

    • Deportations in the Baltic States of 35.000 Lithuanians, Poles taken refuge in Lithuania of 35.000 Latvians, and 10.000 Estonians by the USSR.
  • Fourth phase of deportation of the Polish populations of the territories annexed by the USSR 300.000 people are off-set in Siberia.
  • June 22nd:

    • the Germany invades the the USSR: beginning of the Operation Barbarossa with 190 divisions, 5000 planes and 3500 tanks.
  • June 30th:

    • the Germans seize Lviv (Lwów).
    • Rupture of the diplomatic relations between Vichy and the USSR.
