Judge Dredd

Judge Dredd is a Comic S English for adults created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra. The publication began in the British review 2000 A.D. in 1977.

In futuristic and fascistic America, the order is maintained by the Judges, who concentrate all the capacities: legislature, executive and legal - their leitmotiv is I amndt the law , “I am the law”. On board their motor bikes, they furrow the megalopoles while making reign justice in an expeditious way. Dredd Judge is a judge of Mega-City One, it is the best of them.

Cartoon

Comic S

The universe sinks and violent one of the comic depicts a world of violence and hatred. Ground is more but ruins and desolation (a completely uninhabitable desert where reign as a Master gangsters irradiated and mutant cannibals), following several successive atomic conflicts. The major part of the surviving population piles up in futuristic megalopoles, themselves over-populated gangsters, swindlers and criminals of the worst species. The police force having been éradiquée, a new order spouted out this pourrissant cluster of violence: judges. They represent the order in the chaos of the cities and are at the same time judges, sworn and torturers, applying the proverb “violence against violence”. The Judges want to be pitiless and do not hesitate to kill any person in infringement, under the terms of the law fascisante which has course.

Magazine S

  • 2000 A.D.
  • Judge Dredd Megazine (entirely dedicated to the adventures of Judge Dredd, 1990)

Film

1995: Judge Dredd of Danny Canon with Sylvester Stallone.
A film was adapted of the cartoon, but its seditious universe and second degree was transformed into a decoration for an action film often considered to be disappointing.
