John Digby ( February, 1580 - January 16th 1653, Paris), 1st Count de Bristol, was an English diplomat.

He was member of the council of Jacques Ier of England. He was sent in Germany in 1620 to intercede near Ferdinand II of the Holy roman Empire in favor of the Elector Palatine; with Madrid in 1622 to prepare the marriage of prince Charles with the infante of Spain. This negotiation, which it had concluded, failed by the faults of George Villiers de Buckingham, which charged all its wrongs to him. It made it imprison on its return. It did not take of it less party for Charles Ier of England, and was constrained to be exiled during the disorders of the revolution, after having lost all its fortune.
