Johann Wilhelm Haacke

Johann Wilhelm Haacke is a German zoologist , born the August 23rd 1855 with Clenze and dead the December 6th 1912 with Lunebourg.

He is the son of Johann Wilhelm Haacke and Wilhelmine Friederike Louise born Wacker. He studies the Zoologie at the university of Iéna where he obtains his doctorate in 1878. Haacke becomes assistant at the university of Iéna in 1878 then with that of Kiel the following year.

He emigrates in New Zealand in 1881. It Marie with Emily von Bertouch in 1883, union of which to be born a son and a girl. Of 1882 with 1884, it directs the natural history museum of Adélaïde in Australia. Haacke returns in Germany in 1886. It directs the Zoo of Francfort-sur-le-Main of 1888 to 1893, sign the zoology at the technical university of Darmstadt of 1890 with 1897. Haacke studies the morphology of the corals and the jellyfish S, the evolution and is in particular the father of the concept of the Orthogenèse.
