Joachim Wilhelm von Brawe

Joachim Wilhelm von Brawe , born with Weißenfels the February 4th 1738, died with Dresden the April 7th 1758, is a German dramatic poet.

Studying in right to the University of Leipzig of 1755 with 1758, von Brawe announced early happy provisions for poetry. Encouraged by the councils of Lessing and Weiße, of which it had gained the friendship, it entered the dramatic career. An untimely death made disappear the hopes that gave the brilliances tests of the young poet.

There is von Brawe: Der Freigeist (1758; translated like the Strong Spirit by Junker and Liebault into 1785), and Brutus (published 1768).
