Jisi

The jisi , or tsi-sseu (Chinese traditional and simplified: zh-Hant 己巳; Pinyin: jǐsì ) is the sixth element of the sexagesimal Cycle Chinese. It is preceded by the Wuchen and is followed by the Gengwu .

With the celestial Tige Ji is associated the Yin and the element Ground, and with the terrestrial Branche if , the Yin, the element Feu, and the sign of the snake. In the symbolic system of the five elements, the jisi thus corresponds to the “fire which gives rise to the ground. ”
