Jeronimo Grimaldi
Pablo Jerónimo Grimaldi Pallavicini , marked there duque of Grimaldi (towards 1720 with Genoa - October 30th 1789) was a diplomat and Italian-Spanish politician there.
With the service of Spanish Kings Ferdinand VI and Charles III, Grimaldi was ambassador plenipotentiary in Sweden and with Parma, and ambassador auprès the General states of the United Provinces. Charles III appointed it ambassador with Paris, where with the Secretary of State of Louis XV, Etienne François de Choiseul, it negotiated the third Pacte of family Bourbon between France and the Spain. What caused the entry of Spain in the Guerre Seven Year old. It also signed L Traité of Paris in 1763.
In September 1763, after the dismissal of Ricardo Wall it is named Minister of state, station which it occupied until in 1776. He was a reformist, member of a group known under the name of golillas . With Leopoldo de Gregorio, Marquis d' Esquilache, he manages to stop the riots of 1766 caused by the reforms of Esquilache. (Its own house will be put besides at bag during the riots). He was member of the Junta which voted the prohibition of the Jésuite S in 1767.
In 1776, after various conflicts, in particular the defeat of 1775 during the forwarding of Algiers, it is raised of its station and to send as ambassador to Rome. It was made Grand of Spain and was decorated with the Ordre of the Golden Fleece. It also accepted the duque title of of Grimaldi for its services with the Crown of Spain.
