Jean Perron , born the October 5th 1946 with Saint-Isidore d' Auckland with the Quebec, is a trainer of hockey Québécois and sporting analyst on television.
Biography
Graduate of the University of Sherbrooke in physical-activity in 1969 and of the American university Michigan State with a control in physical education in 1973, Jean Perron becomes trainer of the blue Aigles of the university of Moncton to the New Brunswick, where it will occupy this station during 10 years. He is named besides trainer of the year in Canada in 1982-83. Thereafter, it is engaged like assistant of Jacques Lemaire with the Canadian of Montreal and replaces it when this one resigns in 1985.
At its first season as trainer-chief in Montreal, it surprises the world of hockey by gaining the final of the series of the Coupe Stanley against the Flames of Calgary, the ultimate reward for a team of the National league of hockey, in particular thanks to the performances of the young Québécois players of the team, of which Patrick Roy, Stephan Richer and Claude Lemieux.
It is congédié by the Canadians after the season 1987-88 and joint with the principal rivals of the team, the Nordiques of Quebec as assistant of the director-manager. In middle of season it replaces the trainer-chief Ron Lapointe when this last leaves its station for health reasons. It will not take again its post office the following season and becomes analyst with the Evening of hockey on the waves of SRC.
It makes a return as trainer in 1995 when it takes the bar of the Spiders of San Francisco in the international league of hockey. The following year it occupies the same functions with the Moose of Manitoba in the same league. It returns to work on television when it is congédié by Moose in the course of season, but its passion for the sport makes it return as trainer, this time in the rows senior with the Mission of Joliette in the semi-professional Ligue of hockey of Quebec and with the Cousin of Saint-Hyacinthe in this same league, re-elected Ligue of hockey major senior of Quebec, today the North-American Ligue of hockey.
In 2004, Jean Perron is named trainer of the Équipe of Israel by the director of the team, Alan Maislin, with which it works in the industry of transport. In April 2005, its team gains the Championship of the world of the 3rd division against Iceland, and thus passes in the 2nd division.
Jean Perron continuous to work in the media, in particular on TQS, where it regularly takes part in the emission of sport 110% . Moreover, it directed the actors of the series Lance and account, new generation, in order to obtain sequences of the most realistic possible play.
