Jean Aurel

Jean Aurel , born the November 6th 1925 with Rasvolitza, Romania, deceased the August 26th 1996 in Paris, is a French realizer, and scenario writer.

Biography

Its birth took place in a travelling sleeping car in Romania. It followed the formation of IDHEC, was the assistant of Augusto Genina, carried out some short films, launched out as scenario writer. It was tested in the realization of fiction, but without much success. It seems to have been more at ease in the realization of documentary, in particular on the two world wars: 14-18 (1963) and the Battle of France (1964).

It adapts to the cinema some novels of the 19th century, but it is rather in its Stalin (1985), according to the biography of Souvarine, which it excels.
