Jean-Pierre Danel

Jean-Pierre Danel , born the June 4th 1968 with the Game preserve, is a producer of discs, self-educated Guitariste and Compositeur.

Biography

After multiple rounds and recordings studio with the largest French musicians (in particular teams of Michel Berger, Francis Cabrel, Laurent Voulzy, Johnny Hallyday, Celine Dion, Charles Aznavour, etc), it leaves to Europe and to the USA many albums of instrumental guitar sold to several hundreds thousands specimens, and receives 7 money and gold discs.

Its disc “ Stratospheric ” received the Award better album of the year 2000 of the Instrumental Rock'n'roll Guitar Hall Off Famed in the USA, and Jean-Pierre that of type-setter of the year for his title “ Balad for has Friend ”. He is described there like a guitarist " end and brillant" , and criticisms of the album are more than excellent in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Japan, Brésil and in the USA like in the United Kingdom (" An album which will blow you! " DWMusic (the USA), " Hat! This type knows really what it is that to play of the guitar!! Superb! " Pipeline Magazine (GB), " What a guitarist! " 20th Century Guitar (the USA), etc).

In 2001, one finds it in the caritative album with the profit of the UNICEF left to Sony Music " Masters of the Guitar - Largest Guitarists of Monde" , among in particular Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, BB King, Al Di Meola, Popa Chubby, Stanley Jordan, and ten of other great names of the guitar. An American encyclopedia also classifies it among the 15 best guitarists in the world.

As a producer, with his company Puzzle Productions created in 1989, it sold more than 19,7 million discs of multiple French and international artists, and produced or by-product more than 1700 albums, individual, compilations and vidéos for Universal, Sony/BMG, EMI, Warner, M6, etc These productions, taking again the catalog of its company which includes/understands 15.000 titles, add up 156 discs classified with the Signal of the sales Ifop (Signal 50, Top 100), among which 71 Signal 10 including eighteen N°1.

Jean-Pierre to date received 134 gold discs, platinizes and diamond, among which Buddha Bar, Elie Kakou, or of compilations like Top 50, Ti Amo Italia, Hits & Co, Hit Machine, etc

Jean-Pierre also produced with the DJ Da French Guy various radio remixes individual international artists like Madonna, Britney Spears, Daft Punk and Moby, and with the British DJ Joey Negro the individual one classified in the British charts and Swedish " Alexandria Alexandra - Remix".

He acquired or represents in France and Europe of the recordings of artists such as Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Kool and the Gang, Compay Segundo, Gloria Gaynor, Luciano Pavarotti, and of the hundreds of others.

In October 2002, the republication by Sony of part of its catalog is worth in Jean-Pierre the title of the producer having classified the greatest number of discs to the Signal the same week, (19 of its productions).

In 2006, it designs and produces the dvd Because Academy, a fiction humorous and removed from rim around luxury cars and of signal models, which receives a double disc of diamond for more than 200.000 sold specimens.

In July, Jean-Pierre leaves Guitar Connection at Sony/BMG, a cd+dvd accompanied by an important advertizing campaign on television, and from which he is the interpreter and the producer. The album includes/understands 18 titles, and the dvd a method of guitar in particular. Guitar Connection is n°1 sales in France, and this during two weeks, remaining then in Signal 10 for two months. The album is also certified disc of gold, is sold with more than 160.000 specimens in France to date, and is classified in the charts several countries. The dvd receives a diamond disc.

Guitar Connection 2 leaves in March 2007, is classified N°8 of the sales and receives an excellent critical reception. It contains in particular the standard jazzy " Nivram ", recorded in duet with Hank Marvin, the mythical guitarist of the Shadows, and principal influence of Jean-Pierre. Two other duets are also reproduced on the album: " My Song off You" , with Laurent Voulzy, and " While my Guitar Gently Weeps", with the father of Jean-Pierre, Pascal Danel. The dvd receives a double platinum disc.

It receives in spring the " French Grand Prix of Guitare" and sees itself giving a disc multi-diamond at the time of its 25 years of career. It produces at the end of the year a duet Pascal Danel and Laurent Voulzy in a new version of " the Beach with Romantic the ".

Jean-Pierre published the books " Woman Mode of Emploi" (3 000 quotations of 500 authors in all kinds on the women), and " Tribute to the Fender Stratocaster ", based on its own collection, which comprises in particular two famous guitars, Miss Daisy and the Marchioness. It publishes in June 2007 a biography of very an other kind, " The Fabulous Destiny of Sacha Guitry ".

He is the son of the singer Pascal Danel, who created in the Sixties several standards of the French song, of which in particular “ Snows of Kilimandjaro ” and “ the Beach with Romantic the ”. He is also the nephew of the universally famous director of operas Jean-Pierre Ponnelle.
