Jean-Antoine Panet , notary (1772 - 1786), lawyer (1773), judge and politician of the Low-Canada, wire of Jean-Claude Panet (Quebec, June 8th 1751 - May 17th 1815).
It is useful in the militia which defends Quebec during the Guerre of independence of the United States of America. It becomes lord of Borough-Louis in 1777. In 1779, it marries Louise-Philippe Badelart, girl of Philippe-Louis-François Badelard. In 1792, it is elected appointed High-City of Quebec to the Chambre from assembly of Low-Canada, from which it is elected speaker the December 18th 1792. He becomes judge the January 28th 1794, and gives up his function of speaker. He is re-elected appointed at the assembly for the High-City in 1796, 1800, 1804 and 1814. In 1808, it is elected for Huntingdon. He is re-elected speaker in 1797, and takes up this duty until January 1815, during his nomination to the Legislative council of Low-Canada.
