Jaun Zuria
Jaun Zuria (" The lord blanc") is the mythical first Seigneur of Biscay. According to the legend, it would have been born from a Scottish princess visited by the god/spirit Sugaar, at the village of Mundaka.
To the 15th century, the lord of war Lope García de Salázar adapted a history since the Libro back Linhagems of Pedro Alfonso, making of Jaun Zuria a noble elected official by people of Biscay to lead them against the army of the Royaume of León, with mythical the Bataille of Arrigorriaga. There is nothing history in this legend, because the seigniory of Biscay was creates by the Royaume of Castille after the conquest of part of the Royaume of Navarre in 1200. The history was probably created by the members of the dynasty Castilian, in order to claim itself " Lord of Biscaye" , thus creating a false history as what the Biscay was independent, and not just part of the Navarre.
