James Murray
James " Jamie" Murray is a British tennis player of Scottish origin born the February 13rd 1986 with Glasgow. Jamy is the big brother of Andy and contrary to him, Jamie concentrates primarily on its career of player of double. Left-handed person, called “Stretch” because of his long arms and because it extends always to reach the ball, his partner of predilection is the American Eric Butorac, called Booty. Associated with Jelena Janković, it gained the mixed double of the tournament of Wimbledon in 2007.

Course in double
In July 2006 Jamie and Eric Butorac reached the finale of the tournament of Los Angeles, inclining in front of the world's leaders of the discipline: the Bryan brothers. In September, associated with his Andy brother, it reaches the finale of the tournament of Bangkok which it loses vis-a-vis the pair made up of Andy RAM and of Jonathan Erlich on the score of 2-6 6-2 4-10.It is at the beginning of February that Booty and Stretch gain their first title ATP in double at the time of the tournament of San Jose. They connect the following week with a new title taken down this time at Memphis.
March 20th, 2007, Jamie is selected to take part in the Coupe Davis opposing England to the Netherlands. Jamy and Greg Rusedski, are essential thus vis-a-vis Robin Haase and Rogier Wassen 6-1 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7-5).
In June 2007, in the tournament of Wimbledon Jamie took part the mixed double and double proof. Associated with Eric Butorac it reached the 3rd turn and gained the title in mixed double with its Serb partner Jelena Janković. Because of the many interruptions related to the rain, Jamie and Jelena were forced to dispute their matches quarter and of semi-final the same day, which did not prevent them from being victorious. Finally, they were essential vis-a-vis the pair formed by the veteran Jonas Bjorkman and Australian the Alicia Molik on the score of 6-4 3-6 6-1, thus making of Jamie the first British player gain a title in Wimbledon in 20 years.
