James Ivory

James Ivory is a American Réalisateur born the June 7th 1928 with Berkeley, California (E. - U.). His/her mother is of French origin .

In spite of its American nationality, it is mainly known to be the cantor of a traditional British company, impregnated of the values of the period victorienne.

The majority of its films were produced with the Indian Ismail Merchant, through their production company Merchant Ivory Production founded in May 1961. Ruth Prawer Jhabvala wrote many scenarios for its films.
