Iveco
IVECO is the acronym of I ndustrial Ve hicles Co rporation, it is a manufacturer of industrial vehicles Italian whose head office is based with Amsterdam.
IVECO is a Holding created in 1975 by FIAT - which gathered FIAT V.I, OM, Lancia V.I and Unic - FIAT - following the repurchase of the German manufacturer Magirus-Deutz with the group KHD, which will become Deutz AG and to which came to be added thereafter other marks like Ford the U.K. Trucks, Pegaso and Seddon Atkinson. It is today the second manufacturer of Camion S in Europe (20% of the market shares) and the most important diesel engine manufacturer of of the world (twice more diesel engines than of trucks, for boats, tractors, machines of Public works and trucks of other manufacturers). Its Turnover rises to 11,8 billion euros.

Today, IRISBUS became the only label of the buses of group FIAT and gathers all old divisions drunk ex FIAT-IVECO in the world as well as joint-ventures CBC-IVECO in China, IVECO-ASHOK LEYLAND in India and IVECO-OTOYOL in Turkey.

1974 Magirus Deutz Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz (KHD) is taken again in majority by FIAT V.I
- 1975 IVECO ( I ndustrial VE hicles CO rporation) is created on January 1st,
- 1980 KHD sells with FIAT the balance of its actions IVECO which becomes a subsidiary company of the group FIAT S.p.A. to 100%.
- 1983 Magirus - Deutz AG becomes IVECO Magirus AG
- 1986 Rachat of Ford the U.K. Truck Division
- 1987 Repurchase of Astra SpA Italian manufacturer of special trucks of building site and dumpers
- 1989 IVECO Magirus AG festival its 125 years
- 1990 Integration of Pegaso (ENASA) (and of Seddon Atkinson) with the group IVECO

All Daily are manufactured in the Italian factory of Brescia. They were marketed at the beginning under the names FIAT V.I, Unic and Magirus.
The Iveco Daily is currently manufactured in several countries: Italy, Spain, China, Brazil, Argentina, Serbia and Russia. The engines of the first series until 2005 are FIAT series 8140 of 2,5 - 2,8 - 2,3 and 3,0 L of cubic capacity, diesel, turbo diesel and Unijet. The last series 2006 is been driven by engines FIAT Powertrain Technologies F1CE of 3.0 L of cubic capacity Euro 5.

During the first phase after the creation of Iveco, the manufacturer kept the existing ranges of his own creative members like the range " Z" of origin FIAT V.I and OM.
