Ivan Mikhaïlovitch Berezoutskii
Ivan Mikhaïlovitch Berezoutskii was a pilot and Soviet As of the Second world war, holder of the Ordre of Héros of the Soviet Union.
Career
Born the November 13rd 1918 with Siélivestrovo in district from Altaï, it learned how to control in 1938 with the civil Aéroclub of Biysk , before continuing a training of instructors of civil flight. In 1940, it engaged in the rows of the Red Army and followed the courses of the military academy of the Air of Chkalov .Promoted Officer, it was transferred, in July 1942, with a unit of the face: the 169.IAP , which was to be renamed in March 1943 63.GuIAP (= regiment of air hunting of the Guard). It was to be committed dice its beginnings in the Bataille of Stalingrad and in the offensive on Kalinine. It took part then, inter alia engagements, with the Bataille of Koursk, in July 1943, during which it cut down with the mouns a German apparatus , then was used successively on the faces of Bryansk, the Baltique and Bielorussia. With the mid- 1944, high with the rank of Major (= Commander) it had already taken part in more 200 missions of war and obtained 15 victories approved. It finished the war in May 1945 with the head of its unit, the 63.GuIAP , which one had given him the command.
After the Second world war, it continued its career within the Soviet air forces and was graduate of the academy of the air forces in 1955. It took its retirement, like Polkovnik (= Colonel) in 1969.
