Italo Disco music

The Italo Disco is a Musical genre produced in Italy in the Eighties. Its sonorities take as a starting point the Disco, from where its name, but also of New-wave English. In fact, it is definitely more electronic than the Disco, with the use of machines (synthetizers, limp at artificial rates/rhythms, sounds). This style very creative, is coloured enough, but more melancholic person that the Disco music traditional or that his/her cousin of America, the Hi-NRG. One can thus also regard Italo Disco as an Italian variation of the New-wave.

This style will be followed by the ItaloDance of end of the year 80 at the end of the Nineties, nearer to us.
