In 1933, the FISG amalgamates with the Italian federation of Ski to found the Federazione Italiana Sport Invernali (Italian federation of the winter sports). The seat of the federation is then transferred to Rome.

Following the Second world war, all the Italian federations Sport ives must be positioned back and following this new creation, the ski and the hockey are separated from ice-skating. In 1952, hockey and ice-skating are again joined together to form the FISG of today.
