Island of Prince-Patrick

The island of Prince-Patrick , located in the Arctic Ocean is the most Western island of the islands of the Queen-Elisabeth of the Canadian Arctic Archipel.

The island belongs to the Territoires of the North-West, State of the Canada. She was explored for the first time in 1853, then named in the honor of prince Arthur William Patrick, duke of Connaught, which was General governor of Canada of 1911 with 1916.

Surface of the island east of 15  848  km ², but its altitude does not exceed 200 Mr. It is in a seismic zone.
