Islamabad

Islamabad ( the city of Islam ) is the Capitale Pakistan.

History

Capital of the Pakistan, in the Northern of the country, close to Rawalpindi. In 1959, the site of Islamabad was selected to replace Karachi like Capitale of the Pakistan. A group of Urbaniste S was in charge of the creation of the new city, also construction started in 1961. In 1967 Islamabad became official Capitale. Work was completed in the current of the Années 1970. The city is divided into eight quite distinct zones, characterized each one by prevalent activities (administration, trade, light industries or residential districts). Islâmâbâd counts remarkable buildings like the building of the National Assembly, drawn by Louis Kahn, and the house of Pakistan, residence of the president.
