Isches

Isches is a common French, located in the department of the the Vosges and the area Lorraine.

Geography

Isches is located at 8 km of Lamarche, to 10 km of Bourbonne-the-Baths, to 13 km of the Monthureux-on-Saone and to 23 km of Jussey.
Le Duronrupt, tributary of the the Saone, borders the commune.

History

The Choiseul-Aigremont family made build several castles with Isches.
Ische was Chef-lieu canton during the Révolution (of 1790 to the 8 Pluviôse An IX (January 28th 1801)). The church Brice Saint very visited, date of the 12th century. It is one of oldest of the area. It was initially a vault of the castle of the Duke of Choiseul, this one killed with the battle of the Mound close to Soulaucourt (88).
