IronPython

IronPython is an implementation of the language Python, aiming .NET and Mono, created by Jim Hugunin. Version 1.0 left on September 5th, 2006.

IronPython is written entirely in C#. It is available like part of the initiative Shared Source of Microsoft. Although at the origin placed under the license Public Common License, it keeps part of its heritage, and its source code seems " more accessible" that other objects placed under Shared initiative Source. The authors affirm that the license, although not examined by the Open Source Initiative, is in conformity with their definition of the Open source.
