Some quotations

“Photography is for me Irina Ionesco a primarily poetic element, I consider it like a theatrical writing, where I fix in an obsessional and ceaseless unfolding all my phantasms. ”

Each meeting, put in scene is conceived like a theatrical sequence, integrates the woman in a universe of dream, where itself mythical, multiple, is invented, and revêt in turn the facets of the thousand mirrors in which the artist plunges himself. “I conceive the erotism only through one metaphysical dimension. I like excess, the onirism, the strange one. Also, I make mienne this sentence of Baudelaire: " In art, there is only the odd one which is beau". I test need only for women for interpreters of my roles and a little girl, my Eva daughter. The night alone is favourable with the catches of sight of my theater and the places are always closed, I them want scented mysteries, darkness and Milky Ways. ”

Irina Ionesco, from now on internationally known, multiplies the exposures and the publications of its photographs, always of the women made up, equipped and put in scene carefully, which evolve/move in a strange universe, attractive.

With the Eye of the headstock , its Romance first , the photographer exposes itself in a setting in autobiographical scene which reveals it without restriction.

Today still, Irina Ionesco multiplies the projects which give places to exposures and publications.
