International Scuba schools

The international Scuba school is an international association related to commercial promoting the teaching of the Plongée underwater.

The majority of its standards and specialities are rather similar to those of PADI and the two organizations offer the same formations appreciably.

One of the notable differences between the two systems of formation is that IF requires, to certify a monitor that it is affiliated in a center of diving whereas a monitor PADI can teach where good seems to him, including of independent.

IF is present in 90 countries and has 25 “regional centres”. Its supports of formation make it possible to go from the level of beginner until the management while passing by many qualifications of specialities.

IF formed part, like other Anglo-Saxon organizations (PADI, BSAC, daN, etc), RSTC.

IF proposes 11 levels of plunger, of level 1 on the Pro level. To reach each level, it is necessary, in addition to a certain number of divings, certain qualifications. Each level is concretized by a chart with the format credit card.

Levels of plunger

  • level 1 ( Open toilets diver ) requires 5 divings in artificial medium and 5 others in natural environment or then 7 divings in natural environment as well as a theoretical course. It makes it possible to evolve/move (according to the legislation of the country), up to 18 meters of depth within the framework of a relative autonomy.
  • level 2 ( Speciality diver ) 12 divings and 2 cours de specialities.

  • level 8 : 400 divings.
  • level 9 : ( Gold 500 diver ) 500 divings.
  • level 10 : ( Platinum 1000 Diver ) 1000 divings.
  • level PRO : ( Platinum Pro 5000 ) 5000 divings
