International ESPN
ESPN International is a transverse subsidiary company of ESPN Inc and thus indirectly of the Walt Disney Company. It was created in January 1998. The goal of this subsidiary company is to coordinate projects of establishment abroad for the various subsidiary companies of ESPN.
As the remainder of network ESPN, ESPN International belongs to 80% with the Walt Disney Company and to 20% with Hearst Corporation.

It is interesting to note that the Walt Disney Company has several similar subsidiary companies of which Walt Disney International and Buena Vista International.
History
ESPN launched out to the conquest of international in 1983 with initially of the distribution of programs.
In January 1988, the entity ESPN International is created in order to envisage and manage the subsidiary companies with international and also to reach the 80 million subscribers.
Thus in 1989 Latin ESPN America is launched in Central America and as of 1990 with launching ESPN Asia Network mark an opening on the Asia and the Pacifique.
The December 5th 2006, ESPN International takes the control of NASN a European chain dedicated to the American sports for the sum of 80 million $.
From the company is present on the 7 continents, 160 countries through 31 chains in 15 languages. It bought the rebroadcast rights with international many sports events. Chains:

- 6 in Asia
- 4 in peaceful the
- 3 in of Africa and with the the Middle East
- 2 with the Canada
