Intémélien
The intémélien is a variety of the Ligure which speaks itself about Roquebrune-Cape-Martin to Sanremo, like in the linguistic enclave of Monaco.
In Italian, one names it intemelio . Its speech more diffused is the Ventimigliese , that of Vintimille (in dialect, U ventemigliusu ).
One of the specialists in these speeches is the German professor Werner Forner, of the Université of Siegen.
The intémélien is limited to the coastal areas. It presents evolutionary features and received influences of the ligure speech of Genoa. The intémélien should not be confused with the alpine Ligurian , which is more preserving and which is spoken in the alpine zones located more at north (to speak about Pigna; to speak Royasque, including the Brigasque, in the valleys of the Roya and the Bévéra).
