Inform
Inform is a language of Programmation optimized for the creation of plays in interactive Fiction, created in 1993 par.
Overall picture
The Inform system is made up mainly of a Compilateur which generates files readable by the virtual machines zmachines or glulx , as by libraries which help with the modeling of textual adventures. The handbooks available for the training of Inform are only in English, although it is completely possible to carry out French plays thanks to the translations of certain libraries of the system. Some plays already exist in French (see the external bonds).
The language inform 6 is at the same time procedural and directed object.
Inform 7
April 30th, 2006, Graham Nelson announced beta release Inform 7 on the mailing list. This new version, which took with him and its team 3 years of development in the greatest secrecy, is described like a " réinvention radicale". Inform 7 is indeed a program turning on MacOSX, Windows and Linux which uses code in natural language, making it possible an author to write with more freedom. Inform 6 is always used in subjacent treatment of the code transcribed by the interface of Inform 7.
