Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Danger

Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Danger and Raging Spirits are same attraction but one with the topic of Indiana Jones and the other without. They are Russian Montagnes with a single loop. Disney carried out other attractions on the topic of Indiana Jones: Indiana Jones Adventure - Temple off the Forbidden Eye and Temple off the Hook Skull and Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular .

For information, Michael Eisner then owner of Paramount (before being that of Disney), succeeds in the feat of ingenuity to produce three films of Indiana Jones with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, which made it possible in Disney to more obtain easily the right to create these attractions.

The concept

The topic of attraction is the visit of a temple in ruin redécouvert in the jungle. The visitor climbing imposing it flanked staircase of two statues. Then it climbs in the tip trucks of the attraction which it traverses to finish by an inversion of the loop type.

It was the first time that Disney integrated a loop in one of its attractions.

The Temple off Doom /Le temple of the Danger

It opened in 1993 with Disneyland Paris in order to unchoke the queues of Big Thunder Mountain, then only Russian mountains of the Disneyland park. It is the first Disney attraction including an inversion.

The topic of attraction is the visit of a Kampuchean temple in ruins redécouvert by the archeologist-adventurer, Indiana Jones, temple around whose was built a network of rails supposed to be used for the archeologists. After having traversed the jungle and having crossed the base camp (a long line of waiting) the visitor climbs imposing it flanked staircase of two statues of cobras naja, creature protective of the goddess Shiva. In top vis-a-vis the visitors, a stone circle is sometimes crossed by a train. It is the loop. Then one goes down towards the dispatching platform to get into the tip trucks.

The train takes height thanks to a top spin (mechanical system allowing the automatic rise of the tip trucks) then carries out some turns, descents and assembled, for then carrying out large a " chute" and to connect the loop inside the temple. Some turns still, and the tip trucks stop in the departure lounge to let to us go down. The loop is not very visible in attraction it is only at the time when the rise seems a little long that one realizes that one has just had the upside down.

Of April 1st 2000 with November 2004, the tip trucks of attraction were assembled to back from where the name: the Temple of the danger… to back .

Raging Spirits

Attraction opened during the summer 2005 with Tokyo DisneySea, it takes again the concept of the Temple of the Danger but by removing the reference to Indiana Jones. This attraction is located just beside the Temple off the Crystal Skull .

At the time of archaeological research made here, two giant statues were found. But their restoration awoke the spirits which they contained. Since the idol of the God of Water in the shape of a snake spits continuously of water while the God of Fire is surrounded by flames.
