Implant mammaire

A implant mammaire is a Prothèse used in Plastic surgeon to increase the volume of a Sein or to rebuild a center (for example after a Mastectomie).

History

The first implants mammaires are used at least since 1865 to increase the size of the centres of the women. The installation of the first known implant was carried out in Germany where one withdrew from the grease of a benign Tumeur of a black woman to establish it in his center. The following years, the medical community worked out various implants with all types of materials, most frequently in Paraffine. The first probable use of silicone is done with the Japan and dates from the beginning from after Second world war: the Prostituée S Japanese women would have directly injected silicone in the centres.

Plastics technician S of Houston, Thomas Cronin and Frank Gerow, developed the first prosthesis mammaire out of silicone with the collaboration of the Dow Corning Corporation in 1961 and the first installation of this type of implant goes back to 1962. The implant was consisted a silicone envelope filled with a thick and viscous silicone gel. Since then, one sought to perfect these implants by increasing their duration of Vie, by improving the feeling which they generate when one carries from there and by stimulating less the fabric Fiber ux on the level of the Capsule S. the capsules tend to make the implant mammaire harder, to twist it and make it less natural; this can cause pains.

The Bacterium S, the silicone which is exhausted and the Temps are the principal factors in the formation of capsules. The implants filled with physiological solution can also form capsules. The rates of capsules decreased with the last implants. The latter are texturisés, their shells are thicker and flee less, and their freezing has more " cohésion".
