Illustrated Alsatian review

The illustrated Alsatian Revue was created by Charles Spindler and Anselme Laugel in 1899. This review aimed to make known the Alsatian culture and traditions by emphasizing their French roots.

Pierre Bucher was the director as from 1901. In 1912, he adds to the review, with the collaboration of Dr. Ferdinand Dollinger, the Alsatian Cahiers , books with vocation more politically opposed to the germanism, chronicle of the moral and economic life of Alsace.
